Trust & Safety Policy

Effective Date: 02-07-2025
Last Updated: 02-07-2025

At AuthLN, we are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy online environment for all visitors. This Trust & Safety Policy outlines the standards we uphold regarding content moderation, user protections, and legal compliance.

1. Prohibited Content & Behavior

Since AuthLN focuses on cybersecurity and internet safety, all content published must adhere to the highest ethical and factual standards. To maintain trust and credibility, we prohibit:

Misinformation & Disinformation: Deliberate spread of false or misleading cybersecurity information.
Hate Speech & Discrimination: Content promoting racism, sexism, homophobia, or other forms of discrimination.
Harassment & Threats: Targeted abuse, bullying, doxxing, or stalking of individuals or organizations.
Fraud & Impersonation: Content that promotes scams, phishing attempts, or impersonation of real individuals.
Malicious Cyber Activities: Any content that encourages hacking, illegal cyber activities, or exploitation of security vulnerabilities.
Illegal & Harmful Content: Child exploitation, self-harm encouragement, violent extremism, or other illegal activities.

We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion if it violates these principles.

2. User Reporting Mechanism

AuthLN provides a user-friendly reporting system to flag inappropriate content or policy violations.

How to Report a Violation

📧 Users can report concerns by emailing abuse@authln.com with:

  • The URL or specific content in question.

  • A brief description of the issue (e.g., misinformation, fraud, harassment).

  • Any supporting evidence (if applicable).

🔍 Review Timeline: Reports are reviewed within 5 business days by our internal moderation team.

3. Enforcement Actions for Policy Violations

AuthLN takes policy violations seriously. Enforcement actions depend on the severity of the violation and may include:

Warning: First-time or minor violations may receive a formal warning via email.
Content Removal: Violating content will be taken down without prior notice.
Temporary Suspension: Repeat violations may result in a temporary suspension (e.g., restricted access to publishing).
Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated offenses may lead to permanent termination of access.
Legal Action: If the violation involves fraud, cybercrime, or other unlawful activities, legal authorities may be notified.

Users will be informed of enforcement actions via email.

4. Appeals Process

Users who believe their content was unjustly removed or their account unfairly suspended may submit an appeal.

How to Appeal

📧 Email appeals@authln.com within 7 days of the enforcement action with:

  • Your name & contact details

  • Reason for the appeal (why you believe the decision was incorrect)

  • Any supporting evidence or clarification

📍 Review Process: Appeals will be reviewed by an independent moderator within 10 business days, and the final decision will be communicated via email.

🚨 Final Decision: If an appeal is denied, no further reviews will be conducted.

5. Child Protection & Age Verification

AuthLN follows best practices in child protection and compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) to ensure a safe online experience.

No Content Directed at Minors: AuthLN is an informational site for cybersecurity professionals and general audiences. We do not target minors under 13.
No User Accounts for Minors: We do not knowingly collect data from children or allow them to create accounts.
Tracking is Disabled for Users Under 13: Where technically feasible, tracking and analytics do not process data from users identified as minors.
Parental Request for Data Removal: If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted data, they can request deletion by emailing privacy@authln.com.

📌 Age Verification: Since our platform does not involve user accounts, explicit age verification is not required. However, if we introduce user registration in the future, an age gate system (e.g., requiring birthdate verification) may be implemented.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. If significant changes occur, we will notify users via:
✔ A website notice
✔ An email to affected users

The latest version of this Trust & Safety Policy will always be available on our website.
